Day 01: Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve
Pick up from hotel at 0730hrs, a safari briefing session with
our Tour officer then drive to up to the Equator crossing for a
short stop to see the "performing of the waters", where a local
entrepreneur demonstrates the clockwise and anticlockwise
properties of running water on each side of the Equator line.
Continue to the Lodge,
with Good opportunity to see the wide variety of animal and bird
life seen at Samburu Game Reserve. Several large game
species
common
to Kenya's northern plains can be found in abundance here,
including the following dry-country fauna: gerenuk, Grevy's
zebra, oryx and reticulated giraffe. All three big cats, the
lion, cheetah and African leopard can also be found here, as
well as the elephant, Cape buffalo and hippopotamus
mammals frequently seen in the park include olive baboon,
warthogs, Grant's gazelle, Kirk's dik-dik, impala, and
waterbuck. A black rhinoceros, more than 390 bird species
recorded in Samburu and Buffalo Springs national reserves. The
reserves protect a variety of habitats, home to different bird
species including arid acacia savannah, scrub and gallery forest
alongside the Uaso Nyiro River, sunbirds, bee-eaters, Marabou
stork, tawny eagle, Verreaux's eagle, bateleur, vulturine
guineafowl, yellow-necked spurfowl, lilac-breasted roller,
secretary bird, superb starling, northern red-billed hornbill,
yellow-billed hornbill, and various vultures including the
palm-nut vulture
Ewaso Ng'iro river contains large numbers of Nile crocodile
Afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Samburu Sopa

Day 02: Samburu Game Reserve
Morning game drive followed by breakfast, spend the morning at
leisure at the lodge pool or the terrace overlooking the river.
After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Overnight at
Samburu Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
Depart after breakfast and drive via Nyahururu Falls to Lake
Nakuru, in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.Lake
Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the
over 400 species of birds found here,Black and white rhinos
thrive in the surrounding national park, which also has its fair
share of Cape buffalo, African wild dog, zebra, eland, waterbuck
and lion. In recent years Nakuru has attracted fame for the high
number of leopard sightings, and the rare Rothschild's giraffe

Day 4 :Lake Nakuru � Masai Mara
We break the camp/depart the lodge soon after breakfast and
proceed to Maasai Mara to arrive in good time for Lunch. Late
afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at
Mara Serena Lodge/Budget Lodge /Camping
Day 5&6: Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5. Dinner
and overnight at t Mara Serena Lodge/Budget Lodge /Camping
Masai Mara is one of the most famous and important wildlife
conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, world-renowned for
its exceptional populations of lion, African leopard, cheetah
and African bush elephant. It also hosts the Great Migration,
which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa,
and as one of the ten Wonders of the World.
Wildebeest, topi, zebra, and Thomson's gazelle migrate into and
occupy the Mara reserve, from the Serengeti plains to the south
and Loita Plains in the pastoral ranches to the north-east, from
July to October or later. Herds of all three species are also
resident in the reserve
All members of the "Big Five" lion, leopard, elephant, Cape
buffalo, black and white rhinos are found here all year round,
Hippopotamuses and crocodiles are found in large groups in the
Mara and Talek rivers
Over 470 species of birds have been identified in the park, many
of which are migrants, with almost 60 species being
raptors.Birds that call this area home for at least part of the
year include: vultures, marabou storks, secretary birds,
hornbills, crowned cranes, ostriches, long-crested eagles,
African pygmy-falcons and the lilac-breasted roller, which is
the national bird of Kenya.
Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Day 7: Masai Mara Nairobi
Morning game drives then drive to Nairobi via Narok; we stop to
browse in the bustling, vibrant Masai markets to buy curios and
handicrafts before continuing to Nairobi and drop off at the
airport where our safari ends.

Seating Arrangement
Overland trucks may differ in their seating
formation and size. Some have all forward-facing seats, while others
may have some backward- or side-facing seats. The seats are generally
raised, allowing for good views over the landscape, especially in
grassy areas, where you want to be able to spot animals in the grass
Photography and Game Viewing
The overland trucks generally have large
windows, some which open vertically, others horizontally – allowing
for good views. This allows you to stand up and get Good views and
Good Position of taking photos.
Luggage Space
All
trucks are equipped with storage space (some lockable) for
luggage and equipment – some under the seating section,
Obviously space is at a premium, so be sure to pack only the
absolute essentials. Most overland trucks have a safe onboard
for storage of valuables
